The relevant legislation at the national level   for the importation of products from third countries is the Ministerial Decree 18354/2009,  which contains provisions for the implementation of Regulations (EC) n. 834/2007, n. 889/2008, n. 1235/2008 and subsequent amendments  concerning organic production and labeling of organic products.
