On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September in Savigliano during the bread festival Saint Rose Square has hosted the Biological Festival, "For a Friendly Earth": two days of continuous activities organized by the Association of Organic Producers Terramica and Fattoria Amica. To enrich the initiative there were organized a series of appointments, starting from Saturday morning with "Mangiarbio. Healthy eating starts with the quality of the products ". A very attended conference that has allowed consumers to hear expert opinions on various disciplines on the rules of healthy eating. The round table was introduced by Giacomo Ballari, president of Terramica and Fattoria Amica. The qualified speakers were Aldo Manca, director S.C. Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy of the Santa Croce Hospital and Carle of Cuneo, Gabriella Mellano, of the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences at the University of Turin, Enrico Surra, professor at the Agricultural Institute of Verzuolo.

"The presence of Terramica in Savigliano," commented Franco Parola, Coordinator of the Terramica Association and responsible for the Environment Service of Coldiretti Cuneo, "is part of an articulated program for the promotion of the organic sector, supported by the Piedmont Region under the Rural Development Plan, with the participation at Bionazur of Nice and at Sana of Bologna and now in Savigliano, with the review of the main organic products of Piedmont ".

Enzo Pagliano: "Coldiretti's attention, through the Terramica and Fattoria Amica associations, to the organic agricultural sector since the birth of this production technique has always been high and continues to this day to satisfy a  steadily increasing demand over the last ten years on the part of consumers. The biological is chosen more and more in our province and in Piedmont. The numbers are all important: it’s almost 2,000 operators in the sector with a growth rate of 9% in 2015 compared to 2014. Nearly 29,000 hectares of organic agricultural land, with an increase of 8% in 2015 compared to 2014 and there are high growth margins".

The tastings of organic products (honeys, cheeses and wines), guided by taster masters, held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, as well as the "organic treasure hunt" organized for the youngest, have been largely successful.
